The Rev. Barry Woodward will be preaching this Sunday 1st June 2008
Barry Woodward was brought up in a great, but non-Christian home in Salford, Greater Manchester. At 16 he left school with no qualifications and was drawn into the Manchester drugs scene, taking cannabis, amphetamine and LSD. This led to a life of heroin addiction and drug dealing.
After being dependent on heroin for fourteen years and spending a number of terms in prison Barry had what he describes as ‘an encounter with God’, which resulted in his life being totally transformed. This was then followed by being called by God to be an evangelist. Since then he has worked with a number of evangelistic organizations and studied full time at Cliff Bible College, where he was awarded a Diploma in Biblical Studies and Evangelistic Ministry from Sheffield University.
Barry is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God in the UK and an associate evangelist with J.John of the Philo Trust. He is also the author of ‘Once an Addict’. He and his wife Tina are members of The Bridge Church, and they live in Greater Manchester.

On Wednesday evening Life Church Lincoln hosted a meeting with Paul Milligan and Duane White, prior to their forthcoming conference – CATALYST: A Business & Wealth Creation Conference.
On this evening session Duane outlined a few biblical truths about money and the kingdom of God.
As an international speaker and author Duane uses his communication skills to teach and challenge people to fulfil their God-given destiny. Duane has a Master of Ministry degree in Leadership from Southwestern Christian University and has been in full-time ministry for 20 years.
In April 2007, Duane and his wife Kris, along with their core plant team, launched The Bridge Church in Denton, Texas where they serve as Lead Pastors. Their mission is to “connect people to life” and to serve as a model of missional church and multi-cultural faith community.

On Wednesday evening Life Church Lincoln hosted a meeting with Paul Milligan and Duan White, prior to their forthcoming conference - CATALYST: A Business & Wealth Creation Conference.
On this evening session Paul outlined a few biblical truths about money and the kingdom of God.
Paul’s experience as both a teaching elder in his local church in the US and a very successful business owner has given him a unique perspective on finances and Christian living.
Paul founded Global Technical Services (GTS), an aerospace contract engineering firm, in 1989. By depending on God, GTS has grown and prospered despite recessions and downturns that shut down other businesses. Paul now owns other companies in the service, transportation and healthcare industries.

What Is Alpha?

The world famous Alpha Course is a 10 week course, run on a regular basis, offering people the opportunity to explore “the meaning of life” and the role Christianity plays in providing the answer.
The session is run during the week, when a meal is provided followed by a talk on the night’s topic and an opportunity to discuss the evening’s session over a cup of tea or coffee. The evenings are very relaxed and are a great chance to meet people at all different stages of their Christian journey.
The Alpha course – is currently run by Life Church Lincoln three times a year. Please contact the Life Church office for details of the next Alpha course HERE.
