This Sunday 2nd November Barry Woodward will be our visiting speaker.Barry has a powerful evangelistic ministry which carries an emphasis upon healing.Opportunites will be given for people who are unwell to receive prayer ministry.This is an opportunity not to be missed.Please use it to invite people who need to experience healing. In the afternoon, Barry will also be taking a seminar for team leaders and those interested in finding out more about outreach ministry of this kind.Barry is an enthusiast and his passion is contagious.

On Wed 29th Life Groups will be meeting in various venues throughout our area.The theme for this week is Be filled with the Spirit.The session will be a follow up to Sunday’s talk from the Foundations series which can be downloaded from the sermons online page.As a foundational topic it serves to remind us that being filled with God’s spirit is not a once and for all experience but a process that is designed to continue throughout life.

Healing Service Sunday 2nd November 2008 - Barry Woodward

. Barry Woodward will speak on Healing at Life Church on Sunday 2nd of November.
Barry Woodward grew up in a great, but non-Christian home in Salford, Greater Manchester. At 16 he left school with no qualifications and was drawn into the Manchester drugs scene, taking cannabis, amphetamine and LSD. This led to a life of heroin addiction and drug dealing.
After being dependent on heroin for fourteen years and spending a number of terms in prison, Barry had what he describes as ‘an encounter with God’, which resulted in his life being totally transformed. This was then followed by being called by God to be an evangelist. Since then he has worked with a number of evangelistic organizations and studied full time at Cliff Bible College, where he was awarded a Diploma in Biblical Studies and Evangelistic Ministry from Sheffield University.
Barry is a contemporary evangelist who has a passion for God and His church. He is committed to the relevant communication of the Christian faith.
Barry is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God denomination in the UK and an associate evangelist with J.John of the Philo Trust. He is also the author of ‘Once an Addict’. He and his wife Tina are members of The Bridge Church, and they live in Greater Manchester.

On Monday evening the Alpha course reaches week four where we deal with the subject of “Why and how can I pray?”All relationships are based upon communication that is two way.Prayer is a doorway into this kind of relationship with God.If you are interested in attending Alpha please make contact with the office as it is possible to join the course at any stage.
Tuesday is ourtreach day. Oasis will be taking place at the Methodist Church Hall between 12.00 and 2.00.This is our thriving lunch club which caters for up to thirty people each week.Diamond Kids our programme for under fives and their parents takes place at The Boiler House from 1.00 until 2.30pm.
Wednesday evening Life Groups will be taking place at various venues.This evening we will be following up Sunday’s teaching on God is…whilst looking forward to the Christmas season.

. William Prentice will be continuing our Foundations series dealing with God is ….Father, Son and Spirit.The father plans redemption,the son purchases it but today we will deal with the Spirit that actively applies the life and purposes of God to people and their situations.
This Sunday evening William begins a new session of Commit our three part partnership course at 7.30 pm.If you would like to participate please contact the office for details of the venue.

Alpha takes place at 7.30 on Monday 20th,Oct in the evening. The course this week reaches part three, where we can explore How I can be sure of my faith?.
The course is for anyone wanting to know more about christianity or simply taking a refresher .You can join at any stage of the course.Please contact the office for details.
On Tuesday evening William will be speaking at the Million Leader’s Masterclass at the office centre at 7.30pm..This is the second session of the course for our second cohort of leadership trainees.
